Jesus inexhaustible source of pity, you who with great affection said from the Cross: "I thirst". You suffered the thirst for the salvation of men.
I ask you, my savior, kindled in our hearts a desire to reach out towards perfection in everything we do and to extinguish the flesh and worldly inclinations. Amen.
